It’s that time of the year again when we watch a bunch of singles put themselves through a public shitstorm for love. Yep, that’s right. It’s the return of Married At First Sight!!! Here’s everything you need to know in order to catch this polarising reality TV show.

You know it’s a new year when Channel 9 starts pumping out all of the promo for its beloved reality TV baby, Married At First Sight (AKA MAFS).

For folks who are not in the know, MAFS follows a bunch of single strangers who agree to be matched up by relationship experts and get married on the spot. After their nuptials, they’re set up in a fancy apartment where they go through a series of relationship-building tasks to see if true love can happen when you’re married at first sight!

But honestly, the best part is the weekly dinner parties, where all the couples group together to talk about their relationships and all the bubbling behind-the-scenes tea we miss out on.

Oh me, oh my. As half of Sydney raged on for Laneway Fest, MAFS had its first Commitment Ceremony of the season. In a surprise twist, Tim Gromie rocked up last minute despite ghosting Katie Johnstone and the whole cast for a week.

Unsurprisingly, Tim and Katie were the only couple to leave the experiment… or so we thought.

Before we kicked off with Monday night’s episode, Awhina Rutene opened up about Jake Luik‘s controversial comments from the photo ranking challenge and spilled to PEDESTRIAN.TV what exactly happened after the issue was brought to light on Sunday night’s episode.

Also, a cheeky inside source dished on some of the major scenes that were cut from the explosive commitment ceremony, including one groom who confessed his love for his ex-wife.

Kicking off Monday night, Jake Luik decided to leave the experiment despite his wife, Ashleigh Ackerman, wanting to stay. As a result, we now have three couples who’ve dipped out of the experiment.

Yikes, yikes, yikes!! It’s not looking good for Morena Farina and Tony Mojanovski‘s post-show relationship. According to texts from Morena shared by former MAFS groom Harrison Boon, these two split pretty early on and we’re about to see it all play out on screen.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s episode, it appears that 2025 groom Adrian Araouzou might’ve spoiled his ending on MAFS after he was spotted on a cheeky date with a mystery woman on Friday night.

Alongside that major piece of tea, reports of a major cheating scandal have begun to bubble.

On Wednesday night, MAFS viewers were left gobsmacked after Jake Luik made a bunch of concerning comments about the brides during the controversial ranking challenge.

Thankfully, his MAFS wife Ashleigh Ackerman called him out for his behaviour. But instead of taking accountability, the primary school teacher claimed it was all a joke.

Off the heels of last night’s incredibly spicy episode, fans noticed a super suss, super sexy object in John Aiken’s office.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a giant butt plug? You can find out right here.

Podcaster and TikToker Hannah Bowman also went viral after spotting something suss going on with some of the Instagram accounts of this year’s MAFS cast.

On tonight’s episode, Tim Gromie has got fans riled up for the billionth time after Katie Johnstone was made to enter Confessions Week alone.

Although she was alone, Katie decided to participate in one of the tasks, which was to watch the audition tape of their new partner. However, it appeared that some of the things Tim agreed too did not echo into their journey on MAFS.

In a MAFS first, a groom has had a one-on-one with an expert. On Monday night’s episode, Eliot Donovan had a chat with MAFS zaddy John Aiken on why he was unhappy with his match, Lauren Hall.

Thankfully, Aiken ripped the controversial groom a new one and fans lapped it up online!

Alongside that drama, Monday night also hosted the first dinner party of the season. Unfortunately for both Lauren and Katie Johnstone, the 2025 brides rocked up to the party without their grooms.

While Eliot didn’t show face, Tim Gromie ended up attending the shindig, arriving a couple of moments after Katie spilled the beans on how he treated her throughout the whole experiment.

To give you a quick recap on this disgustingly delicious dinner party, Tim grilled Katie at the dinner table, stating that she was the one who didn’t put in all the effort into their relationship, despite him physically and emotionally withdrawing from their relationship from the start.

As a result, the other brides began to catch on to Tim’s facade, as he deflected all the attention from their relationshit and his actions.

After copping a confrontation, Tim ended up running away from the dinner table, and probably the experiment.

Well there ya have it! We got our last two couples of the season.

On Sunday night’s episode, we were introduced to this year’s golden couple, Tony Mojanovski and Morena Farina…

And Jacqueline Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly.

While the episode had a a lot of dramatic moments, it was Tony’s cousin Steven who pissed MAFS fans off.

Why you ask? Well Steven believed Morena was too old for Tony and that he should’ve been “awarded” someone younger.

Maybe Steven and Tm Gromie should hang out and start a podcast or something…. YIKES!

Right off the heels of last night’s episode, villain groom Eliot Donovan has revealed the real reason why he left the show. The tea spill comes alongside rumours that he would be returning as an intruder. YAWWWWWWN.

On Thursday night’s episode, we’ve got two more couples, and just like Wednesday, this round of couples were fuarrrking wholesome but there was a big shock.

First up, we were introduced to Australia’s newest golden couple, Ashleigh Ackerman and Jake Luik, who hit off!!

And, for our big twist, we’ve got former flames (YES A SECOND PAIR OF EXES THIS SEASON), Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels.

But unlike Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine, this duo broke up on amicable terms, so I have faith that these two could make it beyond the commitment couch.

On a more serious note, MAFS groom Adrian Araouzou‘s past domestic violence allegations resurfaced following his appearance on the show.

After last night’s episode, fans have absolutely slammed groom Tim Gromie for the way he treated his new bride Katie Johnstone. Plus, thanks to some sneaky lil’ paps, we may actually have some spoilers about the outcome of their relationship. Yep, that’s right, two episodes in and the spoilers are already coming in hot!!

In tonight’s episode, we have two more couples. As DJ Khaled prophesied: “Another one. Another one.”

This time around, we’ve got Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou!

And our sixth couple, Billy Belcher and Sierah Swepstone.

While this episode was quite wholesome, Eliot Donovan and Lauren Hall‘s marriage has seemingly hit rock bottom after the 35-year-old groom decided to ditch the experiment because he wanted someone “younger”. Like, 25, which he admitted in his own words.

Well, wasn’t episode one a doozy? From couples who already know each other to diabolical sisters, it truly had it all. Talk about a good start to the season!!!

While Tamara Hall claimed she was done dirty by the edit, MAFS executive producers Alexandra Spurway and John Walsh have said villain edits don’t exist.

“There is no villain edit,” Walsh told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

In this episode of MAFS, we’ve got two new couples.

Our third couple to get hitched were Katie Johnstone and Tim Gromie.

And for our fourth, we got Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand.

Unfortunately for Katie, Tim has been standoffish the whole time, stating that he didn’t feel a “spark”. As a result, fans have dragged the new groom on social media.

We’re only hours until Married At First Sight 2025 premieres on Channel Nine, but it appears that the cast is already stirring up trouble.

According to Daily Mail Australia, it’s been reported that incoming bride Lauren Hall and incoming groom Tim Gromie are refusing to give up their Instagram accounts due to their reportedly shitty experiences on the show.

MAFS producers have confirmed a big new twist that’s bound to put a spanner in the works for our incoming couples.

This year’s season will introduce Final Test Week — and no, it’s not a big cricket match… Sorry!

We don’t know too much about what Final Test Week will entail, but MAFS executive producer Alexandra Spurway said: “It tests our couples in a way that makes them think about whether or not they’re going to make it work or yeah on the outside.”

The show hasn’t even started yet, but eagle-eyed punters have already clocked a cheeky editing fail in one of its promo pics.

After Channel Nine dropped the cast list, folks noticed that Tim and Jake‘s photos were not of the same quality as the other grooms.

Well, according to an insider who spoke to Daily Mail Australia, Jake was unavailable for the shoot as he was sick and Tim allegedly wanted nothing to do with the show post-filming.

Something tells me I need to watch Tim’s storyline once it drops!

The big dogs at Channel Nine have decided to kiss 2024 bye by gifting us a full-on teaser for Married At First Sight 2025. In this teaser, we catch a glimpse of all the tears, arguments and plot twists that are about to rock our world for the first half of the new year.
