السفارة الأمريكية ببيروت توصي رعاياها بإعداد خطط طوارئ

The US State Department announced today, Saturday, that airlines have cancelled or suspended their flights to Lebanon, but commercial flight options are still available, according to Cairo News Channel, in a breaking news report, a short while ago.

The US State Department called on its citizens “not to rely on it for their evacuation during crisis situations”, and recommended that its citizens who choose not to leave Lebanon prepare emergency plans to take shelter in their places of residence.

The State Department said in a statement issued by its embassy in Lebanon: “The US Embassy notes that many airlines have suspended or canceled their flights, and many flights have been sold out; however, commercial transport options to leave Lebanon are still available.”

“US citizens who lack the funds to return to the United States can contact the embassy for financial assistance through repatriation loans, and we recommend that US citizens who choose not to leave Lebanon prepare contingency plans for emergencies and be prepared to shelter in place for an extended period of time,” she continued.
